Chapter 111

Now, Heading Towards the Earth Labyrinth!

After finishing the many preparations, now’s the time to head towards the Earth Labyrinth!

When looking at the map, the Earth Labyrinth is located almost at the halfway point between Izel fort and the royal capital, and it’s more to the east, nearing the Urg Beast Kingdom.

Located to the back is the Tatra mountain range, a region that’s split between the Ares kingdom and Urg Beast Kingdom.

The foot of the mountain is covered by rugged stones. The Earth Labyrinth’s entrance is located at the open hole that’s located in the middle of the rugged stones.

And right next to the entrance is a station where a staff of the guild is on standby, in order to check and confirm the tags of the adventurers who enter the Earth Labyrinth.

There were people wearing an outfit that was slightly different from the adventurers over there. Among these people, there was a child that seemed to be slightly older than me.

“Oh my. Isn’t that the uniform of The Knight Academy?”

Amanda-san narrowed her eyes as she gazed in nostalgia at the uniform.

“Knight academy?”

If I am not mistaken, it’s the academy where Amanda-san graduated from, isn’t it?

“Yeah. The students that displayed outstanding results in the Knight Academy would be taking practical classes. Dungeon conquest is part of the curriculum.”

“Whoa, that’s amazing. I thought only adventurers would enter dungeons.”

An elite, huh? As expected of Amanda-san.

Perhaps Ar-niisama also graduated from the same academy? The two of them are amazing!

“It’s basically like that, but unlike the monsters above the ground, the monsters in dungeons have fixed attack patterns, so they’re easy to fight. That’s why it’s just perfect for a practical class. How nostalgic.”

“Then, does that mean you were one of the academy students with outstanding results, Amanda-san?”

“Fufuu. Well… If I weren’t as skilled as that, I wouldn’t be assigned to the Izel fort.”

True. That place is the front line against monsters, after all.

We also went to the station in order to enter the dungeon. At that time, the people who looked to be the students from the Knight Academy had just finished their checks by the guild staff, and they looked at me with their widened eyes.

…Yeah. I certainly look too young to be entering this dungeon.

But I am still a sage, despite how I look. Ehehee.

Thanks for reading at convallariaslibrary❁ᑕ♡m

After the people from the Knight Academy entered the dungeon, we showed our tags to the guild staff with Ar-niisama going in the front.

I don’t have any tag, so I can only pass through by showing the ring that I received from Ar-niisama.

A small blue magic stone is attached on the ring with the design of a bird’s feathers surrounding it–This is the ring that only the members of the Owen family could wear. That’s why it can act as a substitute for my ID.

The guild staff looked at my and Ar-niisama’s faces alternatively, but they didn’t say anything and let us pass through.

Perhaps they thought that although I was just a child that couldn’t do anything, I was still a member of this splendid party, so it should be alright.

The interior of the Earth Labyrinth was slightly bright thanks to the luminous moss.

The first floor wasn’t made to be complicated, so we just moved forward.

The monsters appearing were only slimes, but since the slimes inside the dungeon didn’t have any smell, they didn’t attract Karin-san’s interest so we were able to smoothly pass through.

After passing through the second floor and entering the third floor, a slightly strong monster finally appeared.

However…

“Killer Mole, huh? How boring.”

“The monsters around here are weak, after all. …There they go.”

Facing Virna-san and Frank-san who became lively in the dungeon as if they were fish that found water, the monsters were quickly defeated one after another.

We didn’t really defeat the monsters unless they were attacking, but there were monsters who’d come attacking once they saw something moving, so we dealt with them first.

“Virna, the Black Bat went over there.”

“Frank, a Giant Doodlebug is at your feet.”

“Oh no. I almost stepped on it. They are poisonous so it will be troublesome.”

Virna-san and Frank-san’s breathings were in perfect sync, perhaps thanks to having been in parties together in the past.

The monsters were annihilated before Amanda-san and Ar-niisama even had the time to unsheathe their swords.

“There is no turn for us, huh?”

“But we never know what will happen. Let’s proceed without losing our guard.”

“That is correct.”

Amanda-san refocused her mind after hearing Ar-niisama’s words.

At that time, the voice of people noisily running could be heard from around the corner.

“Something seems to be happening.”

Ar-niisama said as he drew his sword and readied himself. Next to him, Amanda-san was also doing the same thing.

Noir who was on my shoulder hopped down and lowly growled.

“There are five footsteps. One of them seems to be injured as they’re running in an unskilled manner.”

Virna-san’s ears twitched as she reported the movements.

“…There’s a sound of something big rolling over.”

“Rolling over? Is it a Rock Bomb?”

Rock Bomb is a monster that appears to be like a big rock. It would normally mimic an ordinary rock, but it would roll around to attack should it be approached by a prey.

But Virna-san shook her head in response to Frank-san’s question.

“No, it’s more–”

Before we could hear the rest of her words, there were people who came running from the corner.

Huh, aren’t they the people from the Knight Academy?

“What’s wrong? Did something happen?!”

As Ar-niisama reached out to them, the people from the Knight Academy shouted in fluster.

“Run! The Earth Dragon is chasing!”

Eeeh?! Earth Dragon?!

Could it even be not a boss-class monster?!
