“I’m sorry, but it’s impossible. After all, I dislike her. Originally, she was a [stranger that I have no interest in], but you two have repeatedly done foolish things in order to snatch Bertia away from me, haven’t you? This is the situation that you two have caused on your own.”
I answered with a smile.
The light spirit opened his originally large eyes even wider at my words.
“Why? Why?! I mean, Heronia said so. That you are Heronia’s destined person. And that’s why it’s a matter of course that you’d come to like her. Even in the scene that I showed earlier, although there were a few additions, but in the first place it was the prophesized future that I created based on Heronia’s memories, you know? In order to grant her own wishes, Bertia also kept repeating her (useless) endeavors.
You could say that she and Baroness Heronia are a bit similar in that sense.
However, there is a big difference between her and Baroness Heronia.
Even while saying [I want to become a first-class villainess!], Bertia had never hurt her opponent in the literal meaning.
Even if she has ever tried to hurt her opponent, the result is—everything has ended up as a failure.

Heronia deserves no sympathy.
She knew of the events in the game and continued her second life as though it was a game, without giving any thought to the feelings of the people she encountered. She tried to make only herself happy by attempting to build a harem for herself and harassing the love interests of her harem candidates. She is absolute scum.

Cecil perfectly hit the mark on their situation. Because Pi-chan kept enabling Heronia to do as she pleases without repercussions she became as spoiled and arrogant as the original Bertia. And he knew things weren’t progressing the same as the game but instead of talking to Heronia, he tried to force things back to what they remembered which furthered kept her in her delusions.
I still don’t get why Pi-chan keeps saying that Cecil is her fated person when she was clearly going for all the targets. She herself also stated that the prince has to be chosen by her not the other way around.
just say heronia already meet pi-chan for long time and lets say heronia love cecil route. she tell pi-chan how wonderful every scene and went “kya kya” then pi-chan love when heronia see her smile happily like that so pi-chan want heronia see it for real. what i can see, pi-chan like a parent who will grant his child happiness.
about heronia targeting other capture target too, i assume she just want taste become popular or see cecil jealousy (too bad no one happen) and parent sometimes turn blind about child little mischievous.
i cant explain well but i hope can understandable.
Basically Pi-chan is as delusional as her then? Since she hardly appears to be a girl in love. If anything, she seems to see Cecil more of an object/trophy to obtain with her statement that he had to be chosen by her. She probably doesn’t see all the targets as people but achievements in a game hence why she wanted to get all of them.

Perhaps it’s because Heronia keeps telling Pi-chan about how she will be Cecil’s fated girl and how a mark or something will appear on her body after she kisses Cecil?

I liked this chapter quite a bit.
While I don’t feel sorry for Heronia, I do feel sorry for the (current) Pi-chan.
So I’m kind of glad that he still remains as a small light.
Thanks for the chapter, I think he should let Heronia live, not out of sympathy, but because it will allow her to suffer and realize what she did wrong, probably. Just make sure she is without any power.
If pi chan regenerated with the help of zeno lil bit of power or lifespan will it help pi chan to adjust heronia and mayb u know be heronia partner instead while stearing her to the right side haaaaa…
