Announcement About Translation + Another Original

Hi, everyone. I’m here to make an announcement about my translation project.

So, I just noticed that one of my current translation projects, “Watashi wa Teki ni Narimasen” was licensed in English. I also saw that they updated quite regularly. I haven’t gotten DMCA yet, but I believe that their translation will exceed where I am right now (or their release might have exceeded it already), and add the fact that they’re the rightful license holder. To honor the author and the official translation, I will stop translating the series. Note that I will still post updates for the series in May (two more regular updates and I will release the remaining three Patreon chapters too), but I will stop from June onward. I hope you will understand where I’m coming from.

To fill the place of the series, I’m going to pick up another series. I need more fluff so I decided to pick a fluff story that might remind you of my main original story. The previous translator of the series hasn’t posted any update since half a year ago++, so I’m going to continue where they left off. The title is quite long: “The Small Sage Will Try Her Best In The Different World From Lv.1!” I’m going to post the new chapter soon after this.

Plus I think I’m going to revive my other original project: “Taking Over the Villainess: 365 Days to Live As I Like!“, you can read it from chapter 1 here. I’ll update my Patreon page later on after it resumes.

Let me know what you think about this announcement as this is my first time to have a translated project I’m doing getting an English license. Thank you so much for your support 🙂

Thank you for the update, and I’m glad you are picking up Small Sage

  2. rooislangwtf

Man my memory is way too bad, I was surprised to read it got licensed, saw who was doing it and then went to bookwalker to wishlist is only to find it was already wishlisted.

  3. shell

Guess I’ll have to wait a few years for them to catch up to your translations. T^T
I’m not sure if I’ll be interested in “The Small Sage Will Try Her Best In The Different World From Lv.1!” since I want romantic fluff and this is not under romance genre, but I’ll continue to lurk around for future projects. Thank you for all your hard work!

    • LynneSuzuran

I think they’ve already caught up with mine though(?) When I tried reading the volume 2 part 1 sample they had, I saw that it was already around chapter 40ish of the web novel. This is one of the reasons I chose to stop translating.
PS: My new original is under romance genre, I hope you will enjoy it XD
And if you ever thought of ‘tasting’ different fluff, please take a look at “Small Sage” and “But God Forced Me to Reincarnate!”
If you want smut…Then that’s where my other translation project is XD
Thank you for understanding and I hope I’ll see you soon~

I didn’t think 1 volume would have that many chapters from the web novel.

I sometimes read the 3 Doting Dukes even though harem isn’t exactly my taste. I’ll look forward to trying the new original under romance ^^

The most recent chapters they released on their website (which requires you to pay money for a subscription to read) finishes the light novel version of web novel chapter 61. So they’re actually already ahead and that’s just 60% into volume 2. The complete eBook version of volume 2 should go on sale on the 11th of July.

  4. Altera

Yeayyy, thanks for picking up Small Sage..
    Looking forward for the update

Just an FYI, the owner of JNovel Club doesn’t go after fan translations unless the person is A) Charging money to access the translation- as in not being able to read the story without paying, or B) The Japanese rights holder requires it in the contract.
He prefers to win with quality and speed.

    • LynneSuzuran

Yes, and the speed is why I chose to stop. I saw their translation catching up or already caught up, so I thought it would be better for me to work on another title that’s still untranslated ^^

  6. Kiara

oh I had not read this ad, but I understand your point, I think I would do the same if I were in your place.

Thank you very much for the work done so far, I was very happy when you picked up this novel, I am happy to have read more of the occurrences of Kiara.

I’ll wait for the Jnovel version.
    Thanks for the hard work.

  7. Shallen

Thank you so much for your hard work but where to find the licensed release ?

    • LynneSuzuran

You can find it by googling “I Refuse to be Your Enemy – J-Novel Club”. Hope it helps ^^
